About Us
The Abbey Lakes dates back to the mid nineteenth century and
is situated in a area bordering both Orrell and historic Upholland.
The area is stepped in history varying from the times of Henry
VIII when the original abbey still survived to later when the
local highway man allegedly buried his ill gotten gains somewhere
in the locality.

In the future Abbey Lakes will be providing good quality en
suite letting rooms at a reasonable price. As soon as these
are available more information will be made available. The
location is ideal for access to the M6 motorway and is only
five minutes travelling time to junction 26. Liverpool, Blackpool
and Manchester are within a short drive and easy access is
provided to the Lake District, Alton Towers, Aintree and Haydock
Park racecourses to mention but a few.
